How this for some animation! This is the beginning of the web page dedicated to the construction of my Sister and Brother-in-Law Jesse Juarez' house. Plans are being made to have the house of their dreams built in Helotes. This property was purchased by Jesse over 20 years ago and at a steal. We won't depress you and give the price away. But it was dirt cheap. Speaking of Dirt (What a great segue) this past weekend, Jesse, his brother Michael, two of his buddies, Jo, Jessica and Joel began to clear out the land for construction. They rented a BobCat and began the work.

Seems that Jesse was having some trouble getting someone to commit the time and effort, without paying a hefty price, to clear the land. So, at the recommendation of his favorite brother-in-law, Gilberto, he went out and rented a BobCat mini-tractor. Jesse was able to get his brother Michael to commit to having buddies come over and help clear the land. The only payment was food, beverages and ...a bottle of tequila. Jesse called over his wife Jo to "com'on-down" to cook and serve. A game plan was formulated, calls were made, and money exchanged hands (just to the rental place and liquor store.) So, on Saturday morning, Labor day weekend, the plan was executed.

Everything went well. Even the neighbors pitched in. And guess what? Jesse was the PR man! Not Jo! He got neighbors to dig and move while Michael and his buddies worked to scour the earth. And to their surprise, they finished in record time. And no injures, broken gas lines or damaged vehicles. No oil by the way either. Now he's just got to figure out how to get rid of it.
