October 2003,

Okay - Halloween is fast approaching and I get this bright idea that I can make this cool costume for my son, Joaquin. I see him playing with some Lego Bionicles and before I realize it - I blurted out to my son that I could make him a Bionicle costume. This kind of reminded me of when I made my Transformer costume a long...long time ago. Click on this link for a picture.

Big mistake...now I have to deliver.

So I've decided to give it the 'ol college try and make this for him. I did some research and with the help of my sister Josie, we devised a plan. She would mold the helmet out of paper mache and I would create the rest of the costume out of foam. My son is seven years old and will be running around in it - so I can't make it out of card board.
