Ever since I’ve been filming with my Sony AK series, I always get this annoying rattling from the metal camera clips that are attached to the camera. These help you keep straps on the camera but when you take the camera strap off – they rattle and the onboard microphone picks up the sound.
I didn’t want to remove them since I only remove the strap when film by hand or on my motorized 3 axis gimbal. I had asked some photo groups I’m part of but they just said to “cut them off.”
“Nope.”
I found this video online and it was BRILLIANT – link below.
So basically all you need are the “cups” of in ear headphones – who doesn’t have a spare set for smaller or larger ears? For the Sony, you just remove the plastic black part from the triangular clip and slide those bad boys on. The clips are at “attention” but don’t rattle. And you can still use my new clip system. See the pics below. Click on them for a larger view.
Love it.
