The Bandit to the rescue of bad dreams

So this morning my wife wakes me to tell me she had a bad dream about her Mom and Dad.

Her Mom and Dad (God rest their souls) had taken them all on one of their trips to Mexico and they somehow could not get back. And the worst part was every-time my wife tried to talk to them, she could not speak. She also said I was waiting for them on the American side of the border.

“Wow,” I said. In my attempt to comfort her I began,” You know what I was dreaming?”

“Our son Joaquin and his friend Chase paid me $3,000 to see if I could drive all the way up to NY and pick up 300 XBox360 video games then get them back down to them in two days!”

Hoping it would make her forget her dream, I then began to sing the song in my head,

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin’,

we’re gonna do what they say can’t be done.

We’ve got a long way to go and a short time to get there.

I’m east bound, just watch ol’ “Bandit” run.

When I finished recounting my dream, I looked over and she was staring at me like I had three heads, then she just shook her head, exhaled loudly and got out of bed.

“But It really was the my dream!,” I stated, “I mean c’mon, how the heck did our 15yr old son and friend get three Grand to give me?”

Oh well, I tried.

I had to post this interesting story on my blog and HAD to find the video on YouTube -see below.

Great movie, great car…

Thanks for letting me share.
