San Antonio TX Snow fall – Dec 2017

by on Dec.09, 2017, under Misc.

What a wonderful surprise we had last Thurs 12-7-17. We had 2 inches of snowfall!

Of course as one of my friends mentioned, I was like a kid in a candy store. I grabbed my Sony A6500 and took pictures (below) and video.

But what a difference a day makes eh? Two days prior we were close to 80 degrees then SNOW! And now back to reality.

Anyways, check out the gallery below by clicking on the images.

Thanks for letting me share,

Vanessa Sports Shoot Feb 2017

This is my friend Vanessa. You might remember her from my other photo shoot. I asked her if she’d be comfortable posing in a series of Sports themed photo shoot. She said yes and I’m happy she did. I was able to expand my creative horizons by shooting Black and White in this low key format. Vanessa is a very strong woman, mentally and physically and I wanted to capture that in my photo session.

I think I did.

You can see the gallery below. Click on the images for a larger view. Soon I’ll be shooting a male sports model but in the meantime I wanted to get these up.

Thanks for letting me share.

We found out about this years 2016 Texas Comic Con late last week and we decided as a group to go and see about shooting some “B-Roll” for our film. So Fernando, Rhonda, Morgan and I went. It was bigger than I expected and lots of fun. After I finished shooting video, I switched to my Nikon to shoot some stills. You can see the great costumes below in the gallery. Click on images for a larger view.

Got a little creative last week.

by on Apr.17, 2016, under Creativity, Misc., Photography, Sports

Keeping my Photoshop skills up to date.

First up – got some new “free” plugins for Photoshop and experimented using some photos I had shot. For Dame of Death, I used a BW filter and then built the poster in Photoshop. Next, took one of the photos I took of my buddy Mike and added some other creative filters to give it that Cinema look. And had Angel put on a mask a while and used some other filters. Finally, I took some photos of my great niece Gabby playing in her first soccer game and decided to build her a sports schedule.

Also trying out a new gallery builder – just click on the images for a larger view and you can use you computer keyboard as well.

Thanks for letting me share,

Beto
